Esemény leírása

In this seminar, I will shortly introduce myself and my country of origin, and will present partly my previous works on ion-atom collisions performed in Morocco and France, and partly my ongoing research activities at ATOMKI.

The better modelling of the capture process in ion-atom collisions allows us the better control and diagnosis of the fusion plasma in tokamak reactors. In order to model and provide accurate cross sections of the capture process from initially excited targets by stripped ions, during my PhD, we adopted two non-perturbative theoretical approaches: the well-known classical trajectory Monte Carlo and the semi-classical atomic orbital close-coupling methods.

My current job mainly focuses on theoretical investigations of light-matter interactions such as strong field ionization of atoms, molecules and solids. In parallel, I am also involved in cross section calculations in ion-atom collisions, particularly, to study transfer ionization by light projectiles impact on helium.
