Description of event
First I will present you the basics of my PhD research, mainly focusing on noise measurements during martensitic transformations (diffusionless phase transformation, accompanied by volume change) in single crystalline shape memory alloys. I will show you the thermal, acoustic and magnetic noise measurement techniques, and the noise evaluation process. Finally I will introduce my ongoing research connected to the investigation of the deformation-structure-properties correspondences of twinning induced plasticity steels.
