Esemény leírása

This talk begins with a brief introduction to myself, my home state of West Bengal in India and my research interests. West Bengal has a rich cultural heritage and diverse geography, and I will briefly highlight its language, landscape and local cuisine.

I will then introduce my research area, quantum information theory and quantum communication. Starting from Bohr’s complementarity principle, which states that certain properties cannot be observed simultaneously, I will discuss its extension from single systems to ensembles of quantum states. I will show that ensemble incompatibility depends on the configuration of input states by analysing three spin observables for parallel and antiparallel state pairs. This leads to a “No-Comparison Theorem,” demonstrating that the degree of incompatibility varies with configuration, with implications for quantum information-processing tasks.
